Mouse is here !!!!!
Hello all on Labor Day Weekend here in the states. Mouse has been laboring away on some new items to be added to Mouse Works on Facebook. Items being worked on include: Halloween trick or treat bags out of fabric, 2 lap blankets out of flannel, and some painted wooden items for Christmas.
Yes I said the nasty word - Christmas but for a mouse who makes Christmas items all year long - it is not a nasty word - it is a great word.
Shall be back later in the week and try to share some pictures with all of you of the items in the works.

Well we have made it to another Saturday.
I was working on a customer requested project and was messaging her about some ideas - at one point she used the phrase "Mouseyness".
This was in reference to the creative ideas that I have and that I should always go along with my first instincts when designing or creating a project.
Well the Mouseyness has kicked in this morning and I have been gathering supplies for several new projects which has wooden thread spools as a part of the ornament.
Look for wreaths, Santa list ornaments and others to come with these wooden spools - will try to post photos here for you all to see but they will be posted on Mouse Works on Facebook. !!

Wow - it has been since May that I posted up to all of you here.
So many different things have happened. As the weeks and months have gone by so quickly so have items in Mouse Works !
I make a cancer awareness pin and those are of high demand - picture will be posted soon. They can be made in many colors and for all types of cancers. They have even been adapted to be a graduation present.
Hexagons have made an entrance into Mouse Works. Hexagons were started as they were an item I wanted to learn how to make. I have made several into coasters and there are some coming which could be turned into banners/pennants and more. Pictures of these are also coming.

It seems so different to be typing about what I have been doing.
Mouse Works has added a new album - Patriotic Album --- it's first piece is a cross stitched American Flag with stars and stand. It is a 2 sided piece and looks really nice on a table.
I have spent most of today collecting pieces of paper which have patterns on them, punching holes in the pages and then putting them in categories and then into a binder. -- Organization of papers has never been one of my strong points, but I can tell you where things are if you need them.
Now since it is still raining, drizzly, and just all a round grey skies here -- I think a short nap is in order.

Ok - it is me back again - this is a bit weird writing about me. -- Mouse Works was started when I was giving away the ornaments and things I make as gifts. One day a friend in Pennsylvania asked me why I gave them away - and my answer was that no one would buy the things I make. Well he convinced me to start Mouse Works on Facebook and a few days later Mouse Works was born. -- The name came from the mice on the Disney movie Cinderella - when they are helping to make the dress for her to wear to the ball to meet the prince - for some reason when I am sitting here in my room working on a project - the song from that part of the movie always comes to my mind. "we can do it we can do it - we can help our Cinderelle ..." - so that was the name part. ------ It is now a year and a few months later and I am still at it. I love to create things: knitted, sewn, crocheted, cross stitch, and more.
Hoping to put a few pictures up on here of completed projects so that you all can see what I make and also where to find my things to purchase. I am not one for competitions and all on a regular basis - so I may surprise you and pick a person who replies to one of these blogs and do something special for you.

The life of a Mouse who never thought she would be doing a blog.
Hello all - my name is Terri and I am the owner of Mouse Works a page on Facebook devoted to the crafts I make and sell.
I guess I should give you some background on me first.
I am 47 years old and have 1 son, Jack and I am divorced.
I have 1 dog named Smokey who is a major part of my life - it is weird to be a dog person after having 5 cats growing up.
Currently I am on kidney dialysis treatments 3 times a week for 2 hours and 45 minutes - my kidneys failed in October of 2010 due to uncontrolled high blood pressure and a side effect of a medicine a few years before.
Mouse Works came about due to a friend who said to sell the items I make instead of just giving them all away. The name came from a part of the Cinderella movie where the little mice help Cinderella make the gown for the ball.
